Weekly Cleaning Schedule

This schedule is for more intensive weekly cleaning. I have the schedule in a particular order for a reason. Such as I do the kitchen on Tuesday because Wednesday is trash day and I like going through the fridge and throwing out leftovers and anything else that needs to be thrown out then so it does not stink up the trash too much. I clean the Master Bedroom on Friday so that it will be clean before the weekend – when Master and I spend quite a bit of time in there. I like all the floors to be cleaned before the weekend also so they get a once over on Friday to make sure they are clean before the weekend. The bathroom gets a lot of use on weekends so cleaning on Monday makes sense to me. Even if rooms are not used on a daily basis I try to make sure I give them a good going over weekly so that they don’t become out of hand at some point. I include making out menu and grocery list on this schedule also as they are weekly tasks. I do them them on Friday because we do our shopping usually on the weekend.

The Schedule:
Monday – Master Bathroom & Guest Bathroom
Tuesday – Kitchen & Dining Room
Wednesday – Living Room & Laundry plus Clean Laundry Room
Thursday – Office, Guest Bedroom (now an art room for me) & Get Bills ready
Friday – Master Bedroom, Floors (I do a once over with the vacuum again and swiffer before the weekend starts) & Make out menu and grocery list – plus laundry if needed

Some of my favorite products: Magic Erasers – they really are great on soap scum and markers on floors or walls, Vinegar and Water Solution in a spray bottle is good as an all purpose cleaner, microfiber anti-static clothes are good for surfaces that you don’t want to scratch or electronic equipment you don’t want to create static, and Febreeze Allergen Control.
