Wax Play

This past weekend I participated in a Wax Demo at a local BDSM organization. I helped coordinate it for the Dominant giving the demo, so this toy slut got to go shopping for the necessary items. The meeting was to demonstrate several types of wax products that can be used in a wax scene. The first demo was candles – tapers and votives. The second was therapeutic wax, and the third was paraffin and crayons.I was the volunteer for the first part of the demo. I was very nervous prior to the demo, but when I took my shirt off in front of 50 people, the endorphins kicked in and I was feeling good.

The Dominant had the votive candles going right away so that while he was talking giving info the wax was melting and creating a pool in the candle. I sat in a chair and the Dominant was standing above me pouring the candles onto my bare breasts. The votives had pools of wax in them and he would pour them on in one quick pour. Most people do not prefer a large amount of wax to be applied at once. However, I happen to enjoy it and the Dominant has played with me several times and knows my likes and dislikes. Because of the people watching I had a lot of endorphins pumping through me. Which also allowed me to feel I could take a lot more then if it had been just a private scene between the Dominant and myself.

When the pool of wax from the votives was poured on me, I felt a rush of pleasure. The wax from the votives was hot but a pleasurable sensation, like a river of intense warmth running down my breasts. The intensity of the wax lessened as the wax cooled, but still left large patches of a soothing warmth and tingling.

The taper candles created a different sensation. A drop from a taper is hotter than the wax in a pool from a votive due to the proximity of the flame. It is a hot focused sting that actually lasts longer then the pouring from the votive candles. Many people prefer the taper candle because, although it can be intense, it is a smaller area. I prefer one large pour as opposed to lots of little drips.

Having wax poured and dripped on me, the colors mingling, aware of the crowd watching me was a big rush and very arousing. Throughout the demo I was lighthearted and talked with the audience. I felt very comfortable and almost in control in the sense that I was taking the pain and it was pleasurable and as a result I was entertaining those that were watching.

The other two demos were therapeutic wax which had been melted in a crock pot and applied with a small ladle, sprinkled and poured about the subject. Therapeutic wax has oils that are good for the skin and make it very soft. It comes in different scents, such as peach or eucalyptus. The third was paraffin with bits of Crayola crayons. It was applied with paint brushes to the living canvas (a.k.a. the victims skin).

I bought most of the items used in the demo from the Dollar Store, Wal-mart, and Sally’s Beauty Supply.

At the Dollar store I picked up flannel-backed tablecloths to put under a chair and another one draped over the chair, four tapers – black, red, orange, and white, three votives – red, orange and yellow, a box of two candle holders, lighters, a plastic water pitcher to be used for safety measure as there were open flames, a pack of two mini ladles, a candy thermometer to test the temperature of the wax in the crock pots, wooden spoons, paint brushes, towel that the Dominant soaked with water to keep nearby as a safety measure, and goggles for those that are wanting extra protection so that the wax does not splatter into the eyes (a blindfold also can be used).

When I went to Wal-mart I bought: Crayola crayons – they are the best to use as cheaper brands tend to have plastic in them and certain dyes both of which can dramatically increase the temperature to levels higher then desired. The crock pot (which was $9.95) and paraffin. You might want to check your local craft store to see if you can get a large block of paraffin which works out to be cheaper as we got a 10-pound block for $8.

Then to Sally’s Beauty Supply, where I got the therapeutic wax for $5 a pound. You can ask for the kind that goes into the hand and feet wax soaks. No more than 1 pound is really needed. It can be peeled off the subject very easily and put right back into the pot and it will melt again quickly. Please be safe and careful of body fluids when putting wax from one person back into crock and then using it on another person.

Wax can be applied to different areas of the body and with different methods – poured, dripped, painted, ladled, and dipped. It is only limited by your imagination. Wax can allow you to be very creative and both the Dominant and submissive can have a lot of fun inexpensively.
